The Northwest Arkansas Chapter
of the American Red Cross provides direct service to our community 365 days
a year. You can partner with us as we help our neigbors

Stock
Did you know that you
can reduce your taxable income by deducting the full fair market value of
the securities you donate to the Red Cross, as long as you have owned these
assets for at least one year?
EXAMPLE:
You paid $100 for 10 shares of Computer, Inc. in 1997 - the shares are now
worth $200. You can deduct $200 -- twice as much as you paid for the stock!
Avoid Capital Gains
Taxes -Normally when you sell securities that have gone up in value, you
must pay capital gains tax on the increase in value. However, by donating
the securities to charity, you do not pay capital gains tax.

Wills
and Bequests
How to name the Red
Cross in your Will:
To
include a gift to the Northwest Arkansas Chapter of the Red Cross in your
will or trust, please designate a specific amount or percentage to the
"Northwest Arkansas Chapter of the Red Cross ."
Your gift will be used
to prevent, prepare for and respond to disasters and emergencies in the
community. Also, Red Cross volunteers are trained and deployed throughout
the United States to help victims of disasters, such as hurricanes,
tornadoes, and floods.

United Way Designated Giving
Choose the American Red
Cross for your United Way donations. Simply, indicate American Red Cross
Chapter as your choice or use our Designation Number 3017.

In-Kind Donations
The Northwest Arkansas
Chapter of the Red Cross will be happy to accept donations of hotel rooms for
Victims of Single Family Fires, merchandise certificates for clothing from
retail outlets, certificates for groceries.
Generally, gifts-in-kind that we do accept are large
quantities of goods direct from a manufacturer, such as blankets or
medicine.
