Services Volunteer Trainings and Events
Services Delivered FY ‘05
The American Red Cross provides food,
clothing and shelter to victims of disaster. The most common disaster in
our community is a single-family fire. The Northwest Arkansas Chapter has
responded to 93 local
disasters in addition to serving 1,400 families who sought refuge in our community from
Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Our chapter trained 824 new volunteers in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
