First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Course
approx. 17 hours - $225
This course will train instructor candidates to teach
American Red Cross Adult, Child & Infant CPR, Automated External Defibrillator
(AED) and the injury-control modules that include Ergonomics, Back Injury
Prevention, Stress Management, Slips, Trips & Falls, Your Heart Matters
and Workplace Violence Awareness.
Students are required to:
- Fundamentals of Instructor
Training (included)
- Pass pre-course testing in
Adult, Child & Infant CPR, First Aid and AED
- Attend and participate
during all course sessions;
- Successfully complete three
practice-teaching assignments; and
- Pass the final instructor
written exam with a score of 80% or higher.
First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Authorization is valid for
2 calendar years. All authorizations expire on December 31. Initial
authorization may be less or more depending on when training is completed.
