Action Teams
Disaster Action Teams (DATs) are on call around the clock to initiate
our response to any kind of disaster.
Health & Safety
Instructor
American Red Cross classes are taught by a group of dedicated instructors.
We are looking for volunteers interested in becoming certified American
Red Cross Instructors.
Office Volunteer
The volunteer in this position will:
- welcome and provide
information to visitors and students;
- assist visitors;
- answer phones;
- register clients
for classes;
- respond to frequently
asked questions;
- prepare equipment
for classes / checking in equipment;
- perform occasional
clerical tasks for all departments.
Data Entry
The volunteer in this position will:
- assist in data
entry for a specific department;
- be comfortable
using a computer.

Building
/ Operations Volunteer
The volunteer in this position will assist with the care and maintenance
of the building and equipment. Responsibilities include:
- minor carpentry;
- general housekeeping;
- trouble shooting;
- preventative maintenance.
Disaster Health
Services
The volunteer in this position will:
- evaluate incoming
calls originating from Disaster Action Team Members or Client Services
workers;
- evaluate and assist
clients as needed, i.e. assist with replacing medications on an emergency
basis;
- follows Red Cross
regulations.
*Must be a licensed Nurse
Volunteer Administration
The volunteer in this position will assist in managing the application
process as follows:
- make reminder
calls for interviews and trainings;
- assist with data
entry;
- schedule volunteers
for special projects;
- recruit new volunteers.

Air
Fest
We
will be providing a first aid station at
Air Fest in Fayetteville
June 18 & 19, 2005
8:30 am – 9 pm
We need CPR/First Aid certified volunteers. Don’t have CPR/First
